Inline

ChatGPT privacy

ChatGPT can access drafts you provide here or explicitly share on Inline, with their feedback. Course-linked drafts, submissions, and research records are excluded.

Inline-controlled inference generates the feedback. Connected text, assignment context, and feedback pass through ChatGPT under OpenAI’s policies and your settings. Inline never uses this content for training or research.

Encrypted trials expire after one hour. Saved drafts and feedback follow Inline’s usual retention and deletion controls.

You can change sharing or disconnect. Saved drafts stay in Inline. Disconnecting or deleting Inline content does not erase your ChatGPT conversation.

Storage details

Trial retention starts when feedback is requested. Expired content is inaccessible immediately and purged by the running service within one minute. Encrypted provider backups are overwritten within 30 days. You can discard a completed trial from its panel. A private trial link binds the review to the first account that uses it.

Connecting can import your first trial’s text and feedback. Imported trial feedback cannot serve as required course evidence. The browser fallback saves text and context without trial cards. Account feedback allowance and visible history follow your plan.

The panel may temporarily retain edits to recover an interrupted session. Authorization and return cookies last up to 30 minutes. Access credentials expire after 15 minutes; connections and rotating refresh credentials expire after 30 days unless revoked sooner. Inline stores credential hashes, sharing links, and connection dates. Expired credentials and connections are removed within one day plus the hourly cleanup interval. Sharing choices remain until changed or the draft or account is deleted.

Daily trial and first-handoff counts last 30 days; compute-budget counts last up to three days. They contain no draft text, account identifiers, IP addresses, or device fingerprints. Trial records contain an account-binding hash. Hosting providers may process connection logs under the main Privacy Policy; application logs exclude request bodies and secret links.
